Roseborn scoffed at Lucifer before a giant purple magic circle appeared behind him. Lucifer’s eyes widened in surprise as he drew his hand back and took distance from Roseborn.

Spheres of concentrated ash manifested around him and launched towards Lucifer at a speed that the devil king could have never expected.

Out of over a dozen spheres, only one hit him. Nevertheless, the effects of the sphere that hit were devastating.

Lucifer’s hand where the sphere made contact began decaying at a visible speed. His skin turned black instantly and his hand began rotting away like a body that had been dead for years.

**SWISHHH!!

Without hesitation, the devil king made the decision to cut his arm off with a blade of pure energy he hurriedly created in his other hand.

"Admirable, but you can’t escape my curses that easily."

As Roseborn muttered to himself, the stump of lucifer’s arm that was bleeding began rotting just like the arm he had cut off.

Lucifer frowned upon seeing this and clicked his tongue.

Before he could even do anything else, Roseborn appeared in front of him with a fist coated in dark curse energy.

’Shit!’

Lucifer reflexively attempted to cross his arms to block but he remembered he had just cut off one of those arms and the curse on it prevented it from regenerating.

**BOOMMM!!!!!

Roseborn couldn’t care less about Lucifer’s dilemma as he punched the devil king into the giant mountain behind him.

Emerging from the other side of the mountain, the two began exchanging blows mid-air at speeds that dwarfed light, releasing shockwaves that parted the clouds and divided the ocean around the ice continent they were on.

However, it was impossible for the one-armed, and curse-inflicted Lucifer to emerge victorious.

Roseborn grabbed lucifer by the neck and flung him towards the ground before stretching out his palms and firing multiple orbs of condensed energy towards the crashing devil king.

The orbs were of different colours signifying the various attributes of energy the old flugel supreme ruler infused them with.

**BOOM BOOOOMM! BOOMMMM!!!

Lucifer revealed three pairs of his wings as he manoeuvred his way in the air to dodge the onslaught of energy orbs that had long melted what was left of the ice continent they were on.

He flew up into the sky, passing through the various layers of the atmosphere before exiting the planet as a whole.

Roseborn released another pair of wings and blitzed after Lucifer who had flown into space.

He looked around at the empty space before using his authority over curses to sense the location of the curse he placed on Lucifer.

’There!’.

He marked the planet Lucifer had entered and streaked across the void of space towards it.

’That brat is up to something, he was doing something similar to what I was doing. Not using his full power.

I have to end him before he can complete it.’

Those were the thoughts he had the moment he burst through the atmosphere of the planet and headed towards Lucifer’s location.

However, the voice he heard next, sent a chill down his spine.

He stopped flying and floated mid-air as he saw Lucifer standing on a mountain peak. The curse had already affected half his body as parts of his face had begun rotting.

Nevertheless, the devil king only stared at the sun in the sky as he spoke.

|It’s High Noon. This means that it has been exactly 500 days. The conditions of the geass have been fulfilled. |

A red circular rune sigil with intricate spell patterns on it appeared in front of lucifer before turning green and being absorbed into his body.

Turning to Roseborn who was staring at him dumbstruck, he began speaking.

|500 Days ago, I made a geass. For 500 days, I would utilize only one authority and one energy type, in return, all the others that were not used would receive a little power boost.

It wasn’t much, just a five percent boost.

However, it’s five percent of me we’re talking about here. The results are bound to be great. |

He stared at the stump of his arm as the curse on his body began receding to its origin point.

The time on his arm was rewound back to before the curse ever hit it, and if the curse never hit it, he would not have cut it off.

He flexed his fingers and nodded in satisfaction before looking back at Roseborn and continuing.

Roseborn’s face contorted as he felt a bead of sweat drop from his forehead and onto his nose. His hair was all standing on end and he felt chills down his spine as he looked at the current lucifer.

He descended to the ground and stared at lucifer in silence.

The devil king also stared back in silence.

The two understood it without asking, all they had been doing before, was just them testing the waters.

Now, the real fight was going to begin.

Roseborn took a stance with his right hand pulled back as he gazed up at Lucifer and spoke.
